volunteer for the BTA
The Boulder Tennis Association (BTA) is a volunteer driven, non-profit organization dedicated to providing social and competitive play to all levels of local tennis players. Without volunteers we would not survive. We need your energy, time, brains and will power.
We have many opportunities for members to assist us with making the BTA the best tennis organization in Boulder County and beyond.
The following BTA Officer positions are open:
Vice President
This can be a good position for someone that wants to learn more about the BTA and how we run the organization. Can also be excellent for someone that has a special tennis project(s) they'd like to try with our organization. The Vice President serves as a backup to the current president, and could be a good position for someone that eventually wants to be president.
Secretary
One of the easiest positions on the BTA Board. The Secretary takes notes at our monthly (and very casual) Board meetings. Notes are then typed up and emailed to the Board for review. Any other projects taken on by the Secretary are welcome, but not expected.
The following Board of Director positions are open:
Social Tennis Coordinator
The BTA hosts monthly Summer socials from May through September usually on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday afternoon. Summer socials are casual tennis events with BBQ, held either at Centennial Middle School or Fairview High School. The Socials Coordinator is responsible for purchasing food and organizing the events, and playing some tennis at the events too! All expenditures are reimbursed by the BTA, and this position could be filled by 2 people.
If you have a particular skill, and would like to apply it towards the BTA, let us know. We always need help with organizing tournaments, socials, drop-ins and ladder events and we can always use help on our website.
