2010 league captain info
Registration begins March 1st for all leagues. We need new captains and teams. If you know of someone who needs a new team "home", please have them contact a coordinator.
There is a new league for men this year called Trio Tennis:
- Season is April 3 - May 2
- Matches are played on Saturdays
- 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm start times
- 2 singles lines and 1 doubles line
- Will not have playoffs
- BTA fee is tentatively $22.00
New rules:
75% rule is now mandated by CTA. All teams will have to have 75% of their players playing at level. 18 year olds will be eligible to play on USTA and CTA league teams. Please be aware that bringing in a high school player with a 3.0 rating will be next to impossible as they will rarely qualify for that rating. There are penalties for individuals and teams who skirt this rule and the higher ups are checking for infractions.
In your captain's packet (to be mailed in early February), please note that if you have an unrated player, they will need to fill out a ratings form that is included with your team list and checks. The coordinators will NOT register a team member without a completed, signed form. This sheet protects the captain, team and coordinator if there happens to be a question over a rating.
The CTA is being very strict regarding last match entries, even in the event of bad weather. Deadlines for last match entries will be midnight the following day. If a match cannnot be played, the CTA will enter a double default. This could have serious impacts on playoffs. Please have a back up plan and watch the weather. There is more information in your captain's packet.
First, second and third place teams in a flight will have to continue to notify the CTA about their availability for playoffs before the end of the season. The CTA will notify Wild Card teams to their status.
Deadlines to register team minimums/BTA deadline is one week earlier. Deadlines are:

Remember that your courts selection is based on a first organized, paid and completed information to a coordinator.
If you have had an address change, please notify me ASAP so I can get the packet to you quickly. If you plan not to captain, but know who is going to captain, please forward this notice to them. Please let me know also.
